What's involved?
Your solar journey starts with a conversation. We’ll assess your current power usage, peak usage times, and electricity costs. Whether you’re looking to reduce your energy bills or explore off-grid solar solutions, our team will guide you through the best-fit options.
We’ll also evaluate your roof using either an in-person site visit or aerial imagery, then design a custom solar power system that fits your energy goals, roof layout, and budget. Every quote is transparent, fixed-price, and tailored to Toowoomba homes, farms, or businesses—no surprises.
Once you’ve accepted your quote, Excel Power handles all the approvals and paperwork required to connect your solar system to the electricity grid. This includes submitting applications to your local distributor, organising any necessary meter upgrades or reprogramming, and ensuring compliance with Queensland regulations.
Approval times usually range from 2 to 6 weeks depending on your network provider. We’ll keep you informed at every step—and if any extra council or government applications are required, we’ll take care of those too.
Your system will be installed by Excel Power’s in-house team of trained, SAA accredited solar installers and licensed electricians. We don’t outsource, so you can be confident your installation meets strict safety and quality standards.
Before we start, we’ll confirm panel and inverter placement with you. Then we get to work—installing wiring, rails, panels, the inverter, and system monitoring.
Depending on system size and property layout, installation typically takes a few hours to a full day. We finish up with a walkthrough, explain how your solar system works, and provide a clear timeline for when your meter upgrade will be finalised.
After installation, you’ll receive a full list of your solar panel and inverter serial numbers for your records. We’ll also walk you through your system’s monitoring app so you can track your solar performance anytime.
