Solution: Off-grid solar setup with battery system
Darren approached Excel Power after deciding to invest in a brand new solar setup with future-proofing capabilities on his Mt Sylvia property.
After finding their business online, Darren decided to head in store to meet the team and tour their off-grid setup. Michael guided him through the brands on offer and the products he would need to create Darren’s desired setup based on his capacity needs.
The Solution and Delivery
Excel Power ordered and installed 20 LG solar panels, 20 Enphase microinverters and 1 Tesla Powerwall. Both Enphase and Tesla offered 24/7 system monitoring and the system and the entire system could be expanded if Darren’s capacity needs changed in the future. The system was also connected to his existing auto-start generator for back-up power.
Outcome
Darren was originally quoted a DC lithium system by a Brisbane team, however this required a sizable amount of room for battery storage, which Darren couldn’t spare. Excel Power’s solar option not only saved room by using the slimline wall-mounted Tesla Powerwall but was more affordable and safer to run than the DC option he was quoted.
